Who will the Award Winners be?
Award winners will be the next Rising Leaders, the standout 35-and-under in the hospitality sector who have made exceptional contributions; either in leading projects, innovating a new best practice, driving a meaningful change, or simply delivering a highly successful business outcome.
As a finalist, you’ll have the opportunity to present your business case at the Commercial Strategy Conference, on 29-May 2025 at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre Singapore (either in-person or via Zoom). This conference is HSMAI’s premier regional APAC annual event of the year.

HOW THE AWARDS WORK
Applications Close Tuesday 6th May, 2025
(sorry, no exceptions)
Submission:
Submit your most successful idea or strategy implemented during 2024-25 using the provided template and referring to the terms and conditions. We’re looking for Rising Leaders, 35 years or under who have done something amazing this year! General Managers and Commercial Leaders are welcome to nominate some-one on their team for an award.
Jury Selection:
An independent jury formed by HSMAI APAC Commercial Advisory Boards and Chapter Board members will vote on all submissions and shortlist 8 entries from the following categories.
- Rooms
- F&B Outlets
- Spa
- Meeting & Events
- Other streams.
Pitch:
The 8 shortlisted entries will share their success stories in less than 2.5 minutes during the Commercial Strategy Conference (CSC) in Singapore held on the 29th May 2025.
If it’s a team entry, the team lead will deliver the presentation using a video, PowerPoint, or any interactive format. HSMAI will assist you to perfect your pitch. If you can’t be in Singapore in-person, you can send us a video pitch to present if you’re shortlisted.
Voting:
The CSC audience will vote for the best pitch during the event, determining the top three winners based on the votes.
Awards:
The awards will be presented at the end of the Commercial Strategy Conference i.e. 29th May 2025 in Singapore at 5:30pm.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Entries can be from individuals or teams but everyone involved in your project must be mentioned.
The Awards are targetted at Rising Leaders, 35 and under.
- Each hotel can submit multiple applications for different categories, completing one category submission at a time.
- If you are shortlisted, your registration for Commercial Strategy Conference will be Complimentary.
- Images and information that you send us will be used by us to promote the HSMAI Awards and the winners/ shortlisted finalists.
- Authorized company representatives who submit entries will be our main point of contact unless we are otherwise notified.
- No cancellations will be accepted once entries have been successfully submitted online.
- Jury’s decision will be final in terms of selecting the 8 nominations. In case of any tie during the audience poll, the jury’s decision will apply.
- By submitting the application form, the company/representative agrees to officially participate in the HSMAI Asia Pacific Commercial Awards 2025 and if possible, attend the Commercial Strategy Conference 2025 to accept the award. Finalists will be asked to advise us if you cannot the attend the conference so we can organise a recorded pitch.
* India and South Asia entrants can also be awarded their prizes at the annual Delhi Commercial Leaders Forum.
* In case of team entries, awards will be handed over to the team representative and the hotel will be free to decide to whom the individual awards are to be distributed.
