Kevin who has over 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry, started his career as opening member at JW Marriott Seoul in 2000. He developed an international service mind and learned about cultural diversity as a front team leader at Marriott Chicago. In addition, after accumulating various work experiences and hotel management knowledge as an opening member of the Front Office in Grand Sheraton Incheon, Mercure Ambassador Seoul Gangnam, and Aloft Seoul Gangnam, he joined Shilla Stay as an Assistant General Manager and was then promoted to General Manager.
In March 2018, Kevin joined the pre-opening team of Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun Hotel & Residences as Director of Operation, which is the first Accor branded property in Korea that combined a ‘hotel and residences’ and also the first AI hotel in South Korea. He successfully led the grand opening in July of the same year, and contributed to stabilization by managing the overall hotel service and operation so that Novotel Dongdaemun quickly settled in the market. He was promoted to General Manager in December 2020 and is currently promoting various initiatives such as AI services, Room and F&B promotions and ESG management. He plans to cover a wide range of domestic and foreign business and leisure markets, and continues to launch products and services enjoyable by all generations. In particular, he is striving to provide the Novotel Dongdaemun’s special experience and enjoyment by meeting the expectation of the MZ generation, which pursues diversity and convenience of consumption, and providing family-friendly services.
이윤정 총지배인은 올해로 호텔업 경력 24년 차 베테랑으로, 2000년 JW 메리어트 서울 객실 팀 개관 멤버로 호텔에 입문해 메리어트 시카고에서 프런트 팀 리더로 활약하며 국제적인 서비스 마인드와 문화의 다양성을 익히는 등 업무에 전문성을 더하였다. 또한 그는 그랜드 쉐라톤 인천, 머큐어 앰배서더 서울 강남 쏘도베, 알로프트 서울 강남 등에서 객실 팀 오프닝 멤버로 다양한 직무의 경험과 호텔 운영 노하우를 쌓은 후, 신라스테이에서 부총 지배인과 총지배인을 차례로 역임하며 그 역량을 발휘하였다.
아코르 브랜드 최초로 호텔과 레지던스의 결합 모델이면서, 국내 최초 인공지능을 탑재한 노보텔 앰배서더 서울 동대문 호텔&레지던스에 2018년 3월 프리 오프닝 시점부터 합류하여 오프닝 준비와 초기 안정에 집중하였다. 같은 해 7월 그랜드 오프닝을 성공리에 진행되도록 기여하였고, 이후에는 노보텔 동대문이 마켓에 빠르게 정착되도록 호텔 서비스와 운영의 전반을 관리하며 안정화에 기여하였다. 그에 따라 2020년 12월부로 총지배인에 선임되었으며, AI 서비스부터 다양한 객실과 식음 프로모션, ESG 경영에 이르기까지 최신 트렌드에 맞춘 기획들을 폭넓게 추진하고 있다. 앞으로도 지속적으로 국내, 외 비즈니스와 레저시장을 폭넓게 아우르며, 다양한 세대들이 찾고 즐길 수 있는 상품들과 서비스를 계속 출시할 계획이다. 특히, 소비의 다양성과 편리함을 추구하는 MZ 세대의 눈높이에 맞추면서, 가족 친화적인 서비스를 제공하여 노보텔 동대문만의 경험과 특별한 즐거움을 제공하는데 노력하고 있다.
