Charis Choi was appointed Regional Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Southeast Asia for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in 2023. Based in Singapore, she is responsible for maximizing total revenue and meeting key goals at hotels in Southeast Asia by driving business performance and preference for 51 hotels in the region.

Originally from Hong Kong, Charis joined Hyatt in 1996 as a Customer Services Executive at Hyatt Regency Macau. After spending some time in Corporate Office in Hong Kong, she ventured to Beijing for the opening of Grand Hyatt Beijing as Director of Sales. She returned to her hometown as Director of Convention Services at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in 2005, becoming its Director of Sales & Marketing the year after. In 2009, she returned to Grand Hyatt Beijing in the same role while advancing to Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Hyatt North Asia. In 2011, she joined Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur at its opening as Director of Sales & Marketing, then moved in the same role to Grand Hyatt Singapore in 2013 while taking on the additional responsibility of Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Hyatt Southeast Asia.

Charis is a graduate of Queen’s University with a degree in Commerce. With close to 30 years of experience in hospitality, Charis is passionate about nurturing talent in the industry. She currently resides in Singapore and enjoys cooking and long walks.
