Who will the Award Winners be?
Category 1: Rising Leaders: Award winners will be the next Rising Leaders, the standout 35-years-and-under in the hospitality sector who have made exceptional contributions; either in leading projects, innovating a new best practice, driving a meaningful change, or simply delivering a highly successful business outcome.
Category 2: Trailblazers: Award winners will be anyone working in the hospitality sector who have made exceptional contributions (of any age); either in leading projects, innovating a new best practice, driving a meaningful change, or simply delivering a highly successful business outcome. The awards are also open to Marketing Agencies producing campaigns or work for Hotels and Hospitality clients.
As a finalist, you’ll have the opportunity to present your business case at the Commercial Strategy Conference in Singapore (either in-person or via Zoom). This conference is HSMAI’s premier regional APAC annual event of the year.

The HSMAI Asia Pacific Commercial Awards recognise standout commercial achievements and leadership across the hospitality sector in Asia Pacific—highlighting innovative ideas, meaningful change, and successful business outcomes.
There are 2 categories:

Rising Leaders – for professionals 35 years and under

Trailblazers – open category (any age) and also open to marketing agencies producing work for hotel/hospitality clients
You’re eligible if you work in the hospitality sector in Asia Pacific, and your submission reflects an exceptional contribution—such as leading a project, launching a new best practice, innovating, or delivering a strong business result. Trailblazers is open to any age, while Rising Leaders is 35 and under.
Submit your most successful idea/strategy implemented during 2025–2026. Submissions can relate to areas such as Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales, F&B outlets, Spa, Meetings & Events, and Automation/Tech.

Apply: You submit your own (or your team’s) award entry using the submission form.

Nominate: A GM/Commercial Leader (or colleague) can nominate someone they believe should apply. Nominators’ name, job title, and country are shared so the nominee can verify the nomination (but the nominee won’t see the nominator’s email).
Your application will ask for a concise summary of your idea and results, including ROI, plus key details like target audience, objectives, channels used, and a short results achieved summary. You can also attach supporting files (max upload size shown as 256MB).
Yes—entries can be from individuals or teams (and everyone involved should be mentioned). Also, each hotel can submit multiple applications, as long as each submission is completed one category at a time.

Winners are announced and awards presented at the end of the Commercial Strategy Conference (CSC) in Singapore on 14 May 2026 at 5:30pm.

An independent jury (from HSMAI APAC Commercial Advisory Boards and Chapter Boards) votes on submissions and shortlists 4 entries per category (8 total finalists).

Finalists then deliver a <2.5-minute pitch at CSC (in-person or via a video pitch if you can’t attend).

The CSC audience votes to determine the winner in each category. If there’s a tie, the jury decision applies.
